Our Philosophy
Worldwide , people are vulnerable to health conditions that are preventable. The poor, women and children are particularly vulnerable. An increasingly large female population in need of confidential health information, education and advise reside in lower and middle income countries. This has serious implication on their health outcomes and life chances and those of their children and families. This is at the heart of health inequalities and disparities in low and middle income countries and in high income countries among minority groups.
We believe that improved women's health has carry on benefits to children, households, community and government.
We believe that one of the key ways of lifting the burden of disease is by educating and empowering women who will in turn lift their families, villages and countries. Improving the health of women is both an empowerment and women rights issue. It has compelling social, economic and development benefits.
